I welcome you all to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Program of NCRD’s Sterling Institute of Management Studies (SIMS). The Department of Computer Applications started in the year 2008 with the introduction of MCA program.

The objective of the department is to produce world class computer professionals in this fast emerging and changing field of Computer Applications. The Department has a team of well qualified, committed and experienced faculty members. We train our budding technocrats to face the challenges in their life and career by providing Add-on/ Certification Programs to enhance their competencies.

We prepare our students to meet increasing global challenges of ever evolving technologies so as to make the students acceptable to both industries and higher institution of learning. Our mission is to train students to develop inquisitive mind for the true understanding of real-life problems and to build optimal computer solutions for the benefit of society at large.

The creativity of our students is well nurtured and encouraged. New ideas are thoroughly discussed on various faculty-students’ platforms. The Department lays maximum stress on positive attitude through counseling and through Student Mentor Program.

Firstly, it is done at the level of subject teacher, secondly at the level of Mentor who counsels the students on career, studies and personal problems, thirdly at the level of HOD and finally at the Director level. To develop leadership qualities, students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities like Technitia, Aarohan, NCRD’s Champion’s Trophy, Food Festival, Industrial Visits etc.

The department believes in close interaction with the industry on regular basis to keep in pace with the ever-changing scenario of the IT industry. Department of Computer Applications endeavors to provide best professional opportunities to our students and look forward to their bright future. We as a team resolve to take the department to heights of success and glory and prepare for the forthcoming challenges.
